Customvans renovated our 1st van as a result of Covid and the following political fallout. We enjoyed the project and learned so much that now we rent, sell and customize high-top vans full time. It has given our customers significant autonomy. Not only does it give them a lower carbon footprint, but a lower cost of living than a mortgage. An idealized version of this process has been popularized through social media with the hashtag #vanlife. Although many types of vehicles may be used for mobile living arrangements, we exclusively customize high-top cargo vans for stealth parking purposes. No conventional metro-buses, school buses, RVs, travel trailers, or mobile homes. Nor do we deal with SUVs or larger station wagons. Many municipalities have laws prohibiting overnight parking and/or sleeping in such vehicles. Our high-top cargo vans make this difficult to determine. You don't want to be limited to Walmart or Home Depot (private property) parking lot overnight.  This “high-top”...

Prices vary, contact us at+ 1 (786) 505-4172 for estimates. As a professional conversion company, we will take ANY high-top cargo van and modify it for day-to-day living. The vans we work on are usually bare upon arrival, windowless full-size 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton high-top cargo vans such as the Chevrolet Express/GMC Savana, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Ram ProMaster Van, and the full-size Ford Transit. Recently, the Ford Transit Connect has been the subject of our conversions. Customvans offer a wide range of options. A conversion can be as simple as a folding bed in the back, with only the engine battery for power, to vans that function like tiny-homes on wheels with complex power setups, a kitchenette, and even plumbing.  Customvans conversions usually have a small refrigerator (which is often powerable by a choice of gas, battery, or mains electricity) and a two-burner gas hob and grill. Customvans provides a form of adventure tourism involving a vehicle that is livable and self-sustained that can access remote areas to recreate in. Our rentals are outfitted with various luxuries for road trips and camping. They have most of the amenities of a conventional home including heating, air conditioning, a house battery system, a two-burner stove, a permanent bed, and other conveniences for full-time living. Those who do not have a permanent address can use our mail-forwarding service so they can have a real address, and not just a P.O. Box. It is useful to receive packages and other mail at our shop. Those who rent from us can also pay their bills and conduct other business online (through the shop’s public computer and/or wi-fi).
